Become a Red Thunder Vendor (Foodie, Merchant or Busker)
Locals and visitors from around Australia are expected to attend Red Thunder 2018. Red Thunder is an aviation event comprising of a Tactical Formation Clinic (21st to 25th May 2018) and the Red Thunder Airshow & Warbird Fly-In (26th to 27th of May 2018).
Red Thunder is to provide aviation and warbird enthusiasts a venue to fly their aircraft, facilitate specialist warbird training, and to display a variety of warbird and vintage aircraft. The 2018 Red Thunder Airshow & Fly-In is a two-day event seeking to facilitate a rockabilly atmosphere. Car Clubs and Car Enthusiasts will be provided an opportunity to display their vehicles and engage in a variety of Club competitions and judging activities. The 2018 Red Thunder Airshow will include evening food and band activities on the evening of Saturday the 26th of May 2018.
Accordingly, we are seeking high-quality professional stalls and buskers to provide food and product sales, all in an atmosphere which complements the Red Thunder Airshow & Fly-In rockabilly theme. Sales for the Red Thunder Airshow will be required to cover the period from 10am on the 26th of May to 5pm on the 27th of May 2018.
A limited food catering opportunity exists during the Red Thunder Tactical Formation Clinic period from the 21st to 25th of May 2018, as well as an opportunity to provide food services within the VIP pavilion during the Airshow.

Can I sell food or merchandise at the Airshow on the 26th and 27th of May 2018?
Unfortunately Food Applications are now closed. However, if your a Merchandise Vendor or Busker our applications are still open until the 21st of April 2018.
What does a site area cost?
There are three (3) classifications of Stallholders and Lot Fees (Vendor Licences); Caravan Vendor License (2 day only), Marquee Vendor Licenses (2 and 1 day), and Busker Licenses (2 and 1 day). Additional lot areas for Seating etc are available. The Fees are inline with industry practice and will be provided upon application.
Do I need to sell my products at the Red Thunder Airshow during the evening and or after 5pm ?
Trading Hours are 10am to 5pm daily. A number of Food Stalls and Buskers will be required to operate on the evening of the 26th of May 2018. If you are not a food stallholder you will not be required to sell your products in the evening.
What do I need to start trading at the Red Thunder Air Show and Fly-In?
Each stallholder needs a Licence to Trade, Public Liability Insurance, Tables, Lights, Power Cables (if required), Water Storage (if required) an approved marquee and 30kg weights per leg. It is recommended that no money be outlaid until you have been notified that your application has been approved, and you are sure you are purchasing approved equipment to withstand the outdoor conditions reasonably expected.
When do applications close, and when will I be notified?
Applications to become a Red Thunder Food Vendor are now closed.
Merchant and Busking Vendor applications are still open and will close on the 21st of April 2018.
Applications are processed on a ‘first in best dressed’ basis.
You will be notified on or before the 30th of April 2018.
